Brief overview of use of AI by psychologists - David Lopis (Psychology Squared)
Legal Aspects: Ashlee Provis (Special Counsel) - covering the existing regulatory framework and code of ethics, including both the current APS code of ethics and the PsyBA code of conduct coming into effect from December 2025. It will also address ethical considerations around data privacy, exercising clinical judgment and informed consent, and tackle a few hypothetical use cases to identify potential risks and available strategies. Additionally, she will cover the specific issue of transcript retention for note-taking tools, which many practitioners, in her experience, find confusing.
